March 3 - International Day of Wildlife - Ambiente e Boas Praticas

March 3 - International Day of Wildlife
The UN General Assembly adopted on December 26, 2013 with the vote of the 193 United Nations, a resolution that creates World Wildlife Day to be marked on March 3.

The idea is to draw attention to the importance of wildlife to the planet and sustainable development, the well-being of humanity, in a set of ecological, genetic, social, economic, scientific, educational and cultural aspects.
The date was chosen to coincide with the day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade of Wild Fauna and Flora endangered Flora (CITES) on March 3, 1973.

Angola joined the Treaty in 2013, and became the 179th part of this convention, which came into force in the country on December 31, 2013.
It is important to discuss the international trade of threatened species of fauna and flora wild, in addition to animal trafficking, illegal hunting and fishing and the introduction of exotic species in the habitat and their consequences, besides awareness of the population about the actions to be taken to prevent these problems from being solved.
