The calls took place twice in the morning, one in the afternoon and another at night. According to the national flag company, this will be the operating model for the four daily frequencies on the Luanda-Cabinda-Luanda route.

The 10th November 2024 is marked in the history of national civil aviation, with the operationalization of TAAG's first commercial flight, which departed from Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN ), in Luanda, bound for the province of Cabinda.

One ​​year after the inauguration, the first flight left AIAAN at 8:42 am, on a route that took approximately one hour to Cabinda, with 92 passengers, of which 12 in business class and 80 in economy, a capacity of 75 percent of the Boeing 737-700 aircraft. Data indicates that the aircraft has a capacity for 120 seats (12 business and 108 economy). After landing, the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D` Abreu, christened the aircraft, accompanied by the Secretary of State for the Civil Aviation sectors, Maritime and Port, Rui Carreira, and senior TAAG officials.

On the occasion, the Minister of Transport considered the event a great achievement for national civil aviation, ensuring that from a technical and operational point of view everything went as planned.

“We were pleased to see the joy of the passengers who were able to use the new services today for the first time and also of all the professionals who worked to make this first operation successful with maximum control and all safety protocols observed”, he said.

According to minister Ricardo D` Abreu, the transfer of national and international flights from 4 de Fevereiro International Airport to AIAAN will be done gradually, with completion scheduled for March 2025. “We set a deadline, but we feel from some airlines the desire for this to happen sooner. Therefore, it is a matter of organization so that when we move here, we can do so coherently”...
